Secret service advises indoor rallies for Trump
The Secret Service has recommended that former President Donald Trump hold only indoor campaign rallies for security reasons, sources informed The Washington Post. This advice comes after an attempted assassination at an outdoor rally in Pennsylvania, where Trump was grazed on the ear and an attendee was killed. Following the incident, Trump’s campaign staff has begun searching for venues such as basketball arenas that can hold several thousand people. As a consequence of the attack, the head of the Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, resigned. The safety service faces a crisis since the attacker managed to shoot at Trump from a building on July 13th. The gunman, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, was shot and killed by the Secret Service. No outdoor events have been planned, and neither Trump’s campaign nor the Secret Service has made any public statements about the matter.
