Venstre hits historic low in Voxmeter poll
The Danish political party Venstre recorded its lowest ever Voxmeter poll result at 8.0 percent, making them the fifth-largest party in Denmark. Internal strife and the departure of prominent figures like former party leader and Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, as well as former Immigration Minister Inger Støjberg, who now lead their own parties, have contributed to the decline. After the general election on November 1, 2022, Venstre, which eventually partnered in a government with the Social Democrats and Moderates despite previous opposition, struggled with unsatisfactory voting results and internal criticism. With the new party chairman, Troels Lund Poulsen, Venstre continues to face challenges in popularity. Meanwhile, the Social Democrats remain the largest party, albeit with reduced support, and the governing coalition has seen a significant drop in poll support from election results.
