IDF announces daily ceasefire for Gaza aid

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will implement a daily pause in combat activities near Rafah in the Gaza Strip, to allow humanitarian aid to enter and be distributed. This humanitarian corridor will be in effect from 08:00 to 19:00 every day until further notice, specifically along the road from Kerem Shalom crossing to Salah al-Din road, leading to the European Hospital in Khan Younis. Israel has faced severe criticism for limiting aid into Gaza but insists it is committed to delivering assistance amid reports of a looming famine. Over 8000 children under five have been treated for acute malnutrition in the area, according to the WHO. Efforts by the international community to negotiate a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas have stalled in recent days.
