Denmark heightens crisis plan for Lebanon
Following recent events in Lebanon, the Danish Foreign Ministry has raised its crisis readiness, though no evacuations have been initiated, which occur only in exceptional cases. The crisis team, structured post-Afghanistan evacuation, remains ready to respond 24/7. Approximately 415 Danes are currently registered in Lebanon, up from 360, through the voluntary ‘Danskerlisten’. Citizens are urged to secure immediate travel out of Lebanon, regardless of direct routes, as the Foreign Ministry strongly warns against travel to Lebanon due to significant security risks. Cross-border attacks have intensified over the week, with over a thousand deaths reported by Lebanon’s Health Ministry and a million people displaced.
