Berlingske Editor-In-Chief Joins the Confederation of Danish Industry
Mette Østergaard, Berlingske’s 43-year-old editor-in-chief, will switch her job on June 1st to become the new public affairs and communications director at the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI). DI Director Lars Sandahl Sørensen praised Østergaard as one of Denmark’s strongest media figures, confident in her ability to enhance DI’s efforts. Østergaard is eager to apply her media industry experience to improve conditions for Danish businesses. Her describes her task as ensuring the best framework for over 20,000 DI members.. Østergaard previously served as political editor at Politiken and as editor-in-chief at TV2 News, obtaining her role at Berlingske in 2018. She succeeds Morten Høyer as DI’s political director.
