Unexploded acid bombs found at Esbjerg school

On Monday morning, several unexploded acid bombs were discovered at Sønderrisskolen in Esbjerg. The bombs have since been neutralized, and the area restrictions have been lifted, as stated by the South and Southern Jutland Police. According to Duty Officer Søren Strægaard, exploded acid bombs were also found on one of the school’s pitches. He assured that no one was injured and that there was no danger to the few children present due to the autumn holiday. A school caretaker discovered the bombs. Strægaard noted that this is not the police’s first encounter with acid bombs, typically made by youths using acid or drain cleaner and aluminum foil. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal service was called to handle the unexploded devices, and by 1:05 PM, the police reported that the cordons were removed. No suspects had been identified at the time.
