Greenland Flights set to increase
Air Greenland plans to increase flights between Jutland, Denmark, and Nuuk after the new international airport in Nuuk opens on November 28. The expanded schedule includes a direct weekly flight from Aalborg to Nuuk from June 18 to August 27, 2025, and an extra weekly flight from Billund to Nuuk with a stopover in Keflavik from March 18 to October 23. Nuuk’s new airport with a 2,200-meter runway can now accommodate international flights, which were previously rerouted to Kangerlussuaq. The new arrangement aims to cater to customer demand for direct flights and to connect travelers from North America. Air Greenland will cooperate with Icelandair on the Billund-Keflavik leg and use Jettime’s Boeing 737-800 for these routes.
