Stark Group faces loss despite revenue growth

Despite a 10% increase in revenue from DKK 52.5 billion to DKK 57.9 billion, Stark Group experienced an actual decrease in sales by 10% when excluding new acquisitions such as stores in England. The adjusted operating income dropped from DKK 3.4 billion to DKK 2.8 billion, resulting in a post-tax loss of DKK 1.5 billion. Yet, CEO Søren P. Olesen remains optimistic about the coming year, investing in the company and accelerating its growth and transformation program. Stark Group has expanded through 31 acquisitions since 2018, now leading the German tile market, and operates 1100 sales outlets across Denmark, Germany, the UK, and Scandinavia. The group, owned by CVC Capital Partners, has seen a 78% growth in the last four fiscal years.
