Suspect in murder arrested in Morocco

Copenhagen Police have confirmed the arrest of a 32-year-old murder suspect in Casablanca, Morocco, upon a Danish arrest warrant issued last Thursday. The suspect is implicated in orchestrating the murder of a 27-year-old man outside a cafe on Nørrebrogade in December 2021. Two individuals were sentenced to life imprisonment for this murder in 2023 and have appealed. Efforts are underway to extradite the suspect to Denmark. Reports suggest the detainee is a Danish national and gang leader of the so-called Casablanca network. Danish authorities also sought him in drug-related cases. During the arrest, Moroccan police seized an unknown quantity of cannabis and a forged German passport.
