Conservative leader tight-lipped on talks with Venstre
Mona Juul, the leader of the Conservative Party, is determined to form a right-wing government after the next election and considers Venstre and its leader, Troels Lund Poulsen, to be potential pivotal allies. Despite this, she hesitates to disclose the frequency of discussions with Poulsen, emphasizing that she enjoys speaking with all party leaders. The Conservatives aim to create scenarios for agreement within the right-wing bloc and are ready to join the government. Juul doesn’t aspire to be the prime minister candidate, deferring the choice to other parties, although she suggests that it would be beneficial to have one. Juul prefers to focus on repeating their previous success in the EU election rather than engage in prime ministerial ambitions. Upcoming Conservative proposals include a new crackdown on gang-related crime with stricter penalties and legislative adjustments to promote the attractiveness of electric vehicles.
