10% of Danish cars now electric

Denmark has reached a milestone with over 10% of its car population being electric, as reported by Mobility Denmark. In August, 7,050 EVs were sold, making up 55% of car sales that month. Mads Rørvig, CEO of Mobility Denmark, credits the growth to no levies on EVs, expanding EV range, varied pricing, and increased charging infrastructure. He believes EVs will further dominate, with European policies mandating only EV sales by 2035. The possibility of zero-emission zones in Danish cities from next year is expected to boost EV adoption. Currently, Tesla Model Y is the most prevalent EV in Denmark, followed by Tesla Model 3, Volkswagen ID.4, and Skoda Enyaq iV.
