Israeli defense firms seek Danish deals
Two Israeli defense companies aim to supply Denmark with air defense systems, joining contenders from the USA, France, South Korea, and Germany. Denmark has allocated 19 to 25 billion kroner for a new ground-based defense system. Some Danish political parties previously criticized defense purchases from Israel, citing concerns regarding Israel’s actions toward Palestinians. The defense minister clarified that discussions on potential suppliers, including Israeli firms, remain open, and the procurement decision will include considerations of NATO interoperability. Currently, the Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization is conducting market research with expected completion early next year.
