Denmark and Sweden sign defense agreement
Denmark and Sweden further strengthen their defense cooperation with a newly signed intent declaration by Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen and his Swedish counterpart Pål Jonson. The declaration emphasizes their shared goal to bolster defense and security in their region. Following Sweden’s recent accession to NATO in March, the closer partnership between the two nations represents a natural progression. The intent declaration includes specifics on joint areas such as air patrols, support for Ukraine, the security of the Baltic area, maritime collaboration in the Øresund and the Baltic Sea, and collective procurement of equipment.
