Fire damages packages in PostNord facility

A fire broke out on Tuesday in a PostNord building in Hammelev, Southern Jutland, and was extinguished early afternoon, confirmed by police. No injuries were reported, but some packages were damaged while none were believed to have burned. Initially, the location was thought to be an empty industrial hall; however, packages were present on-site. PostNord stated that a contingency plan was initiated to ensure continued operations, affecting some customers, especially in Aabenraa, as some letters and packages were compromised. They are investigating how to assist impacted customers. The cause of the fire, which occurred near the Southern Jutland E45 Motorway, was not immediately apparent.
