Sweden pays Netcompany for new tax system

Danish IT company Netcompany has been contracted to deliver digital solutions for Skatteverket, the Swedish Tax Agency, aiming to modernize Sweden’s tax system and replace aging systems. The deal signifies Netcompany’s significant breakthrough in the Swedish market and spans nine years with the initial three allocated for the implementation of the Solon Tax system, developed by Intrasoft, acquired by Netcompany in 2019. The agreement, valued in the hundreds of millions in Danish kroner, marks the company’s first major deal in Sweden, with CEO André Rogaczewski expressing pride in supporting a vital component of the Swedish welfare state. Netcompany, headquartered in Copenhagen, operates as a European entity with Danish origins, with further expansion aspirations across Europe.
