Danish ambassador to join Navalny’s funeral
Denmark’s ambassador to Russia, Jakob Henningsen, plans to attend Alexei Navalny’s funeral in Moscow amid security concerns and potential restrictions from the authorities. The ceremony for the late opposition leader will be held in the Marjino district’s church, opened initially for family at 13:30 local time, followed by the public, with the burial at 16:00 at Borisovskoje cemetery. Henningsen aims to pay respect to Navalny, who represented courage and the pursuit of freedom and democracy. He also notes possible low turnout due to indirect threats and sanctions against attendees.
