Quarter million gather for Royal Run

Nearly a quarter million people joined the Royal Run on Monday, hitting a record of 236,515 attendees across five host cities according to 3 Denmark’s report based on anonymized mobile data. This turnout presents a 58.2% increase from a comparable holiday time. Fredericia notably saw a spike of 190% over Easter Monday’s count. The event marked the highest sign-up since its 2018 debut with nearly 100,000 runners, despite the 2020 cancellation due to COVID-19. King Frederik participated, starting with a mile in Fredericia, continuing with five kilometers in Aarhus, and finishing with a 10-kilometer run in Copenhagen.
