Today’s news / Government struggles in Voxmeter poll
For the third Voxmeter poll in a row, chairman Lars Løkke Rasmussen's party, Moderates, are measured at under 4 percent. This contributes to yet another poor poll for the SVM government. (Archive photo). Photo: Ida Marie Odgaard/Ritzau Scanpix

Government struggles in Voxmeter poll

The SVM government’s popularity remains weak in Voxmeter’s latest poll for Ritzau, with a mere 34.5% of voter support, equivalent to 61 parliamentary seats. This is a significant drop from the 50.1% and 89 seats won in the November 2022 election. Support for the government hasn’t surpassed 40% since February. The Social Democrats now stand at 20.4%, The Liberals at 10.7%, and the Moderates, amid internal strife, are at a low 3.4%, down from 9.3%. The ‘red bloc’ holds a majority with 50.2%, or 90 seats. The Green Left and Liberal Alliance are likely to be the second- and third-largest parties with 16.6% and 12.9% respectively. The poll has a 2.6 percentage point margin of error and includes 1,249 respondents.
