Today’s news / Parties Set Terms for AI video usage deal
Peter Kofod (DF) believes that one should declare when using artificial intelligence. Just like the party itself did in its video with Mette Frederiksen (S), where she - by the help of artificial intelligence - says that the government will also abolish Pentecost, Easter and Christmas. Parties Set Terms for AI video usage deal

Following the use of artificial intelligence to generate false videos of Denmark’s Prime Minister, the parties Liberal Alliance and Dansk Folkeparti faced criticism. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen termed the action inappropriate and a slippery slope. Parliament’s presidium now seeks a voluntary agreement among parties at Christiansborg on AI usage. Political spokesperson Sólbjørg Jakobsen and group chairman Peter Kofod emphasize the need for a dialogue on AI rules in politics. The presidium met on May 15 to discuss a potential code of ethics, including regulations on deepfakes. Kofod opposes a blanket ban on technologies, instead advocating for limitations and guidelines. Sólbjørg points out the importance of distinguishing harmful misinformation from satire. An expert meeting on AI in political communication has been planned by the Presidium.
