Lars Findsen awarded over 200,000 in damages

Lars Findsen has been awarded 211,850 Danish Kroner in compensation after being wiretapped for over a year, arrested, searched, and subsequently jailed for 71 days. This was the result of a compensation decision from the state attorney, which Ritzau accessed. The attorney denied compensation for mental suffering, leading to Findsen’s complaint. Findsen was accused of sharing highly confidential information with journalists and acquaintances. The Supreme Court overruled the city and regional courts after a long legal process intended to be fully confidential. This contributed to the prosecutor’s decision to entirely drop the charges.
