King’s Memoir is among the bestsellers of the decade

King Frederik’s book ‘Kongeord,’ released in January after his coronation, has become one of the bestsellers of the past decade. According to Denmark’s largest online bookstore, Saxo, and the online retailer Gucca.dk, ‘Kongeord’ leads in biography and memoir sales over ten years and holds the all-time sales record for the past five years at Saxo. At Gucca.dk, it’s the most sold book of the decade among 400,000 books. ‘Kongeord’ surpassed many lifestyle and cookbooks on Gucca.dk’s top-10 and is considered a notable historical work capturing the essence of Danish history. On Saxo’s list, it ranks fourth in the past decade. ‘Kongeord’, authored by Jens Andersen who previously wrote about a younger King Frederik in ‘Under bjælken’ (2017), reveals the king’s personal reflections on his royal duties.
