180,000 vaccinations against covid and flu in three days

The autumn vaccination campaign against influenza and COVID-19 kicked off on Sunday. Already three days after the start, almost 180,000 vaccinations have been given, the Danish Health Authority said in a press release and reports a good initial coverage, 309,000 Danes have booked an appointment for vaccination in the coming 14 days. “We are very pleased that the number of both appointments and vaccinations given is so high right from the start. Vaccination against COVID-19 and influenza are important tools to ensure that people at increased risk get through the autumn and winter well,” says Acting Head of Unit and Chief Physician Kirstine Moll Harboe. On 2 and 3 October, approximately 34,000 people per day were vaccinated against COVID-19 and 48,000 per day against influenza. /ritzau/
