A man died in an explosion in Korsør, prompting the evacuation of 140 residents after explosives were found at his address in the Frølunde Fed summer house area, about 8 kilometers from Korsør. The 52-year-old victim worked with fireworks, confirmed by the police. Residents within a 500-meter radius began evacuating Monday night. Authorities are unsure when it will be safe to return due to the ongoing removal of explosives, which might take most of the day, with aid from military experts. 40 evacuees spent the night at Forlev Friskole, and others stayed with family members. The school’s leader, Majse Dahl, mentioned both relief and concern among the evacuees, with the school to offer shelter until it’s safe to return.
