National fall in apartment prices

Condominium prices in Denmark have decreased by 3.1% on average in the first quarter compared with the previous one. This downward trend was anticipated due to increased property taxes. Despite the fall, prices are still 4% up from the previous year. The housing market’s foundation remains strong, buoyed by high employment and the highest wage increases in 25 years. Interest rates have seen slight decreases after significant rises. Outliers include Funen, with a 13.3% price drop, and North Jutland with a 0.2% increase. Overall, the number of housing transactions grew by 4.3%, with 3,242 apartments sold. Chief Economist Jeppe Juul Borre predicts a slight increase in housing prices throughout the current year, given the market’s solid fundamentals and the prospects of record employment rates.
