The storm Rolf leads to transit cancellations
Due to DMI’s warnings of strong winds and hurricane force gusts in Sydfyn, the west coast of Jutland, and around the Kattegat area, train and ferry companies are cancelling or rerouting services on Friday morning and forenoon. Storm Rolf, as named by he Danish Meteorological Institute, prompted Arriva to cancel several train departures across Mid- and West Jutland, including routes from Ribe to Esbjerg, and from Herning to Vejle, as well as from Odense to Svendborg. Banedanmark announced reduced train traffic nationwide; trains will run hourly on some routes and with reduced speed.
