Trump: Make in USA or face tariffs

President Trump has instructed businesses to manufacture their products in the United States or face additional tariffs. During his video speech at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, he touted the U.S. as the best place to create jobs and build factories, promising low taxes for those who produce domestically. However, he threatened high tariffs on goods from trading partners like Canada, Mexico, and China, effective from February 1. Trump also criticized the European Union for treating the US ‘very, very unfairly’ and mentioned that this will be addressed. His comments have caused uncertainty regarding access to the U.S. market, according to a written response from Danish Industry (DI). They advised waiting for a clearer picture until Trump’s ordered investigation into the U.S. trade deficit is completed.
