Denmark to supply a million drones to Ukraine

The Danish Defense Minister, Troels Lund Poulsen, signed an international drone cooperation agreement to supply Ukraine with one million small attack drones over the next year. This commitment is part of Denmark’s ten-year pledge to support Ukraine’s defense efforts. The initiative, led by Latvia, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine, aims to deliver significant assistance to the Ukrainian defense. Additionally, Denmark will donate 18 Bohdana artillery pieces to Ukraine, which are Ukrainian versions of the French-developed Caesar system. While the situation in Ukraine is a primary focus at the NATO summit in Washington, DC, Ukraine is deemed ‘inevitably’ on the path to NATO membership but is not expected to receive an invitation to join, as this would require NATO to engage directly in the conflict with Russia under Article 5.
