Denmark Considers More F-35 Fighter Jets
Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen, visiting the U.S., mentioned that political discussions will take place in the coming months to decide whether Denmark should purchase additional F-35 fighter jets. Denmark has so far received 10 out of the 27 jets they have ordered. However, the delivery of the remaining jets could be further delayed, an issue caused by complications with the ‘Technology Refresh 3’ update of the aircraft. The minister emphasized the need for timely delivery to manufacturer Lockheed Martin, especially since Denmark is phasing out its F-16 fleet. Despite the delays, Poulsen reassured that this will not affect the donation of 19 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, as Denmark will still retain over 20 F-16s after the donation.
