“Restaurant chain Flammen lands record profit”
Danes are highly enthusiastic about barbecue. Restaurant chain Flammen nearly doubled its profit last year, increasing from 13.3 million kroner in 2023 to 24.1 million kroner in 2024. Last year, the grill buffet chain achieved its highest revenue level in history, and gross profit grew by 21.3%. For the first time in 2024, the chain had over one million evening guests. CEO Piet Klein highlighted the record year and plans to open new restaurants in Silkeborg, Hillerød, and possibly Køge, as well as the first restaurant in Sweden by 2025. Flammen, a family-owned business founded in 2009, currently has 17 restaurants in Denmark and plans to expand with three to four additional locations next year.
