Ex-TV host new royal Comms Chief

The Danish royal house has appointed former TV host Nina Munch-Perrin as the new head of communications, succeeding Lene Balleby, who held the position for 17 years. Munch-Perrin was most recently the business editor at Berlingske. She is well-known for her time as the regular host of DR’s 9 o’clock news broadcast. Despite calling her departure from Berlingske an ‘all too rapid exit’ after only six months, she expresses immense excitement about working with the royal couple and the royal house. Prior to joining Berlingske, Munch-Perrin has held positions at Dagbladet Børsen, TV 2 News, and worked as a financial host before becoming a business and economics correspondent at DR. She was the communications director at Finance Denmark from 2015 to 2018, before returning to DR as a host. Balleby, who announced her resignation effective February 1st, successfully introduced the royal family to social media and expanded the communication team.
