Danish royalty visits Berlin
On Monday morning, Danish King Frederik and Queen Mary arrived in Berlin for an official visit, initially received by President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at Schloss Bellevue. The visit commenced with national anthems and a military honor guard review. The King and Queen are scheduled to tour the Bundestag and celebrate the Nordic embassies’ 25th anniversary in Berlin. They will also meet the Danish minority in Schleswig-Holstein and inaugurate a museum at the historical Dannevirke fortress. Their visit, set to conclude on Tuesday, is marked as an ‘accreditation visit,’ ranking below a state visit.
