Artist Ibi-Pippi moved to secure prison for provocation

Provocation artist Ibi-Pippi has been transferred from an open to a closed prison due to creating a poster deemed provocative towards a staff member, her lawyer discloses. Previously known for vandalising artwork by Asger Jorn at Museum Jorn, she received a sentence of one and a half years of unconditional imprisonment. However, the open prison Møgelkær has now moved her to the stricter Nyborg Prison as a disciplinary sanction. The controversial image named ‘Toxic Masculinity’ depicted a soda can squeezed between the breasts of a woman in a partly unbuttoned blue uniform shirt. Although the artwork was distributed during her leave and some prison staff received copies, her lawyer insists there was no intent to offend and has filed a complaint against the transfer decision with the Prison and Probation Service.
