Slight increase in job vacancies in Q3
In Denmark, demand for labor remains high as revealed by new statistics showing a minor increase in job vacancies in the third quarter. The total number reached 52,055, an approximate increase of 200 from the previous quarter, marking the third consecutive quarter of rising figures after a steady decline since early 2022. Steen Nielsen from Dansk Industri views this as a sign of a robust job market, reinforced by the growing number of wage earners in Q3. Kristian Skriver of Dansk Erhverv points out a significant demand in sectors like trade, transportation, and hospitality due to their size and high employee turnover. Data on job vacancies is collected through a survey of about 7,000 Danish employers. Additionally, according to Jobindsats.dk, there were nearly 25,000 new job postings in October, indicating the potential for employment records to be broken, according to Jeppe Juul Borre from Arbejdernes Landsbank.
