Denmark joins NATO space surveillance effort

Denmark is joining NATO’s space-based surveillance and intelligence-sharing cooperation, as informed by the Danish Ministry of Defence. Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen signs the agreement at the NATO summit in Washington, aligning Denmark even closer within the NATO collaboration framework. Poulsen highlighted NATO as the strongest defense alliance, emphasizing Denmark’s interest in a close defense-political connection with allied nations and the alliance. As part of the Alliance Persistent Surveillance from Space (APSS) Program, this cooperation will also support the Danish Defence’s needs and contribute to strengthening NATO’s overall coverage resilience. Alongside Denmark, the APSS Program includes the United States, Canada, several EU countries, Turkey, and non-EU NATO member Norway.
