Jeppe Søe pushes for work environment probe

Member of the Danish Parliament Jeppe Søe insists on an independent investigation into the work environment within his party, Moderaterne, despite the party leader and Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen stating there won’t be such an inquiry after a nine-hour crisis meeting, reports TV Midtvest. Søe applauds the initiatives like hiring a business psychologist and establishing a whistleblower scheme but feels these are insufficient without examining past leadership actions and potential dismissals. The issue arose following a report by B.T. on complaints to the Work Environment Authority from current and former party secretariat staff about bullying and sexism. Key party members were mentioned in the complaint, though their exact roles remain unclear. One of them, Digitalization Minister Caroline Stage Olsen, apologized for her involvement in the issues, admitting that her interventions at times were insufficient.
