Aqua temporarily declared Grammy winners

Aqua was mistakenly announced on social media as the Grammy winner for Best Rap Song for the remix of their hit ‘Barbie Girl’, ‘Barbie World’. The post on the Grammy’s official profile was later deleted and updated to award Killer Mike and André 3000 with ‘Scientists & Engineers’. The issue was recognized by users in the comments but wasn’t addressed in the new post. ‘Barbie World’ also lost in the Best Song Written for Visual Media category to Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell’s ‘What Was I Made For’. Initially, Aqua’s song was not intended to be in the ‘Barbie’ movie, but eventually, a remix version appeared in the film, which has been exceptionally popular under the direction of Greta Gerwig.
