New Ozempic rules to reduce fraud risk
Pharmacies in Denmark have been directed to dispense a maximum of three Ozempic pens at a time, with at least a two-month interval between dispenses, starting Monday. This instruction was announced by the Danish Medicines Agency in a press release. This restriction, equivalent to a three-month supply, aims to reduce the risk of fraud and illegal resale of the prescription medication. Some patients might receive up to six pens, depending on their prescribed dose. The change follows reports of individuals obtaining large quantities of the medication, leading the agency to suspect fraudulent activity.
