Condo prices hit record levels despite predictions

The current price for an average 80 square meter condominium is at a record high of nearly 3.3 million Danish kroner, a 5.7% increase from last year. Data from the banking sector’s organization Finans Danmark reflects this trend. The surge in prices is primarily driven by the market in Copenhagen. Despite expectations from several economists for a post-New Year price drop, especially in Copenhagen, due to the transition to a new housing tax system which has resulted in higher taxes for many urban apartments, prices have continue to rise.
