1,500 attend CO2 rally with rodeo bull

About 1,500 people participated in a so called CO2 rally organized by Inger Støjberg to protest a proposed greenhouse gas tax on agriculture. The event featured hay bales, tractors, and a rodeo bull. Despite the fun atmosphere, the organizers know the tax is likely to pass. Attendees enjoyed beer with a ‘no thank you’ label and the rodeo bull winner received an air fryer. The SVM government plans to implement the CO2 tax, and the level of the tax is a point of contention. While the landowner hosting the event and the chairman of Agriculture & Food urged the Danmarksdemokraterne to join negotiations and shape the outcome, Støjberg’s party refuses to negotiate, opting instead to fight against the tax. Støjberg acknowledges the tax’s probable passage but does not rule out joining a government that implements it after the next election.
