Andel Energi rebuked for misleading customers

The Consumer Ombudsman has assessed that Andel Energi breached regulations by not properly notifying customers about changes to their agreements, leading to customer misinformation. This implies that customers are not bound by these changes and are entitled to refunds. The Ombudsman emphasized the importance of clearly informing consumers about contract modifications, to allow them to decide whether to continue under new terms or cancel their agreements. Issues include the transition from BasisEl to TimeEnergi, the expiration of FastEnergi Sol & Vind, the shift to TimeEnergi, and an unrecognized update to standard conditions. Andel Energi said changes were due to a simplification of products, and they have acknowledged the Ombudsman’s assessment, providing a direct comparison of old and new terms on their website.
