Swedish teen extradited in Danish grenade case

A 16-year-old Swedish boy will be extradited to Denmark to face a trial for involvement in an incident with two hand grenades, as the Swedish Supreme Court refused to review his case. He is charged with attempted murder by Danish authorities. His defense had argued against extradition due to his disabilities, suggesting that the case be addressed while he stayed in Sweden. This case is a part of a larger trend where young Swedes are being charged in Denmark for serious crimes, including attempts at homicide and other violent acts commissioned by Danish gangs. Some of these individuals have already been extradited and faced legal action. Danish Police Inspector Torben Svarrer has identified some of the recruited Swedish youths as vulnerable, with past incidents of fleeing from care homes. In a string of violent acts since April, grenades have been used thrice, with a recent case planning a murder on August 13.
