Agency aided to deliver late property valuations
The Danish Valuation Agency is enlisting additional support from the Tax Agency and Debt Agency, assigning 200 caseworkers to aid in issuing new property valuations to homeowners. The delayed 2020 valuations, which impact taxation from 2021 to 2023 as well as potential housing tax refunds for 2011-2020, are expected to be sent out by the end of this year. Final valuations for 2022 are scheduled for release next year. Valuation Agency Director Poul Taankvist highlights the importance of dispatching these assessments quickly. An earlier press release indicated that offers of about 3.5 billion kroner had been issued. Tax Minister Jeppe Bruus has stated close monitoring and a willingness to implement further actions if necessary. The 200 new employees will first receive training, with half starting in May and the rest in August.
