King Frederik impressed by vision for new Nuuk school
The royal couple visited the new Atuarfik Inussuk school in Nuuk, Greenland, on Thursday where they were greeted by student council members, along with their twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine. The school, as reported by the Greenlandic media Sermitsiaq, will open in mid-August for 1,200 students. During the tour, the school principal and teachers shared the school’s mission and vision aimed at bringing students together in a newer, larger school with better facilities. King Frederik expressed his impression of the plan. The formal inauguration of the school is scheduled for August 13. Afterwards, the royal couple also toured Nuuk’s new airport and were briefed on the new capital strategy by the municipality.
