SF leader open to government with Moderates

SF leader Pia Olsen Dyhr is open to forming a government with the Moderates after the next election. She indicated to Politiken that a centrist party will likely be needed for SF to be part of the government again, unless voters suddenly favor an S-SF government. Olsen Dyhr rules out a coalition with Venstre currently, due to disagreements on climate and agricultural policies. SF last held government seats in 2011 with the Social Democrats and the Social Liberal Party but left in 2014 after internal disputes and the sale of Dong (now Ørsted). Under Olsen Dyhr’s leadership since 2014, SF’s popularity has increased, securing 15 seats in the 2022 election. The Moderates, founded by former Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen in 2022, entered parliament with 16 seats in the last election and currently hold 14 seats after internal issues led to two members becoming independents.
