TV 2’s sales boosted by subscribers and sports

In 2024, TV 2’s revenue rose to DKK 4.153 billion, a 9% increase from 2023, driven by a surge in TV 2 Play subscribers and a year rich in sports events. TV 2 Play’s subscriptions grew over 14% and represented more than half of TV 2’s revenue. The exact increase in subscribers was not reported, but Danes average 14 minutes daily on the service. 2024 also marked TV 2’s biggest sports year, with rights to the Olympics, Tour de France, and UEFA European Championship, leading to a sports package price increase. Net profit reached DKK 252 million, up by 10%. Looking ahead, TV 2 projects a modest 4% revenue growth in 2025, anticipating fewer sports events and a more saturated streaming market.
