Trump to decide on Iran strike within two weeks

US President Donald Trump is expected to make a decision within two weeks on whether the US will involve itself in the conflict between Israel and Iran, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. Trump sees a “significant chance for negotiations” with Iran but has not ruled out military action. Reports indicate Trump has approved an attack plan against Iran, pending Iran’s decision on its nuclear program. Trump has not confirmed any plans to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities but stated Iran is “in big trouble” and willing to negotiate. European ministers are set to discuss Iran’s nuclear program in Geneva. Trump has been briefed on the risks and benefits of bombing Iran’s secure nuclear site, Fordow, located deep within a mountain, which would involve using a “bunker buster” bomb.
