Arctic patrol ships docked due to issues

The Danish Navy’s Knud Rasmussen-class patrol vessels are immobilized due to technical failures in their power systems. Arctic Command has indicated that the repairs may take until the end of the month. One of the vessels can still be deployed for search and rescue despite the issues. These setbacks highlight broader challenges faced by the military in maintaining basic operational capabilities with available resources. The ships, intended to assert sovereignty in Arctic waters, have had dysfunctional cannons for nearly 15 years due to missing weapon systems. Out of three ships, only the one commissioned in 2016 has a fully functional cannon, as the previous two lacked the essential Ceros fire control system, which grants high accuracy for targeting over various distances.
