Employment hits record: Grows by 2,700 in november

Denmark’s employment levels have reached a new record with 3,035,400 salaried employees in November, an increase of 2,700 from October. Economists, like Palle Sørensen from Nykredit, are no longer surprised by the continuous rise in employment, which has exceeded expectations for several years. The election of Donald Trump as U.S. president casts some uncertainty, but Jeppe Juul Borre of Arbejdernes Landsbank still expects employment to rise in 2025, albeit at a slower pace. The workforce includes a notable rise of 2,900 foreign salaried employees, without whom overall employment growth would have stalled, according to Thomas Gress from SMV Danmark. Over the last year, there were 29,600 additional wage earners, mainly in the private sector, which gained 25,300 more employees.
