Denmark donates artillery worth 317 Million DKK
Denmark has announced a donation of artillery ammunition worth 317 million DKK to Ukraine, as part of its 25th aid package announced in early April. In a press release, Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen underscored the importance of targeted support as Ukraine resists Russian aggression. The support includes coordinating military assistance equivalent to the capacity of a Ukrainian brigade across Nordic and Baltic countries. The new aid package is one of Denmark’s largest contributions to Ukraine, totaling 6.7 billion DKK designated for artillery and air defense, including a future fund of 1.4 billion DKK for 2025-2027 to acquire and donate artillery capabilities and ammunition. The donation will be made through Estonia, and also includes funds for drones and IT security, in line with Ukraine’s needs. The ministers will also discuss the Estonian-led IT coalition involving Denmark.
