Warmest November night ever in Denmark
On the night to Monday, Denmark experienced the warmest November night on record, with an average temperature of 13.3 degrees Celsius recorded between Sunday evening and Monday morning. This is the highest since measurements began in 1874. The highest temperature of the night, 15.8 degrees, was recorded in Skrydstrup. The Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) does not confirm average temperatures for individual nights, but only for full days. DMI’s meteorologist Thomas Mørk suggests the record warmth is likely linked to climate change. The recent cold spell in Denmark was interrupted by this warm night, and while Monday saw temperatures up to 15 degrees, a decrease is expected starting Tuesday, followed by showers on Wednesday and temperatures dropping to between 5 and 8 degrees on Thursday. No snow is anticipated, according to DMI.
